BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7840 FAX: (517) 373-3932 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 9, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Oversight was scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 245 (Sen. McBroom). 2. Testimony regarding SB 246 (Sen. Hollier). The Chairman called the meeting to order at 2:02 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman McBroom, Sen.(s) Lucido, Theis, MacDonald, and Irwin, a quorum was present. The Chairman invited the committee to recite the Pledge of Alliance. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Lucido to adopt the meeting minutes from February 19, 2019, February 26, 2019, and March 12, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman summarized SB 245 and invited Sen. Hollier to summarize SB 246. Member questions followed. The Chairman invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB’s 245 and 246 remotely from Escanaba, Michigan:  Rory Mattson, Delta Conservation District – Support  Greg Stoll, Citizen – Support The Chairman invited the following individual to present testimony regarding SB’s 245 and 246:  Charles Owens, National Federation of Independent Business – Support. Member questions followed. The Chairman read the card of those individuals not wishing to present testimony regarding SB’s 245 and 246:  Meghann Keit, Michigan Association of Counties – Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chairman entertained a motion by Sen.
