BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2420 FAX: (517) 373-2764 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 10, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Insurance and Banking was scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 8:30 a.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Presentation Victoria Kilgore, of the The Institutes: Insurance Research Council, in regards to affordability in auto insurance cost drivers in Michigan The Chairwoman called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m. She instructed the clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairwoman Theis, Sen.(s) Lauwers, LaSata, Nesbitt, Daley, Barrett, Horn, Geiss, Bullock, and McMorrow, a quorum was present. The Chairwoman entertained a motion by Sen. Lauwers to adopt the meeting minutes from March 20, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairwoman invited Victoria Kilgore, of The Institutes: Insurance Research Council, to present regarding affordability in auto insurance cost drivers in Michigan. There being no further business before the committee, the Chairwoman moved to adjourn the committee.
