BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3447 FAX: (517) 373-5849 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 17, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 12:30 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 192 (Sen. Victory). 2. Testimony regarding SB 193 (Sen. Victory). 3. Testimony regarding SB 169 (Sen. Daley). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12: 31 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Barrett, Sen.(s) LaSata, Victory, Outman, Lauwers, Geiss, Bullock, and Hollier, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. McBroom was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. LaSata to adopt the meeting minutes from March 20, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Sen. Victory to summarize SB 192 and SB 193. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 192 and SB 193: Jack and John Carrior, Citizens – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 192 and SB 193: Page 1 of 2 Jenita Moore, Michigan Secretary of State – Support The Chair invited Sen. Daley to summarize SB 169. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 169: Jeanne Cathcart, Citizen – Support Joe Johnson, Citizen – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 169: Troy Hagon, Michigan Department of Transportation – Neutral There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
