BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3447 FAX: (517) 373-5849 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 22, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 12:30 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4118 (Rep. Slagh). 2. Testimony regarding SB 278 (Sen. Barrett). 3. Testimony regarding SB 279 (Sen. Hertel). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:33 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Barrett, Sen.(s) LaSata, McBroom, Victory, Outman, Lauwers, Geiss, Bullock, and Hollier, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to adopt the meeting minutes from April 24, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Rep. Slagh to summarize HB 4118. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 4118: John Lamacchia, Michigan Municipal League – Support Trooper Nicole McGhee, Michigan State Police – Support The Chair summarized SB 278 and SB 279. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 278 and SB 279: Xavier DeGroat, Citizen – Support Jeffrey Cook, Eaton County Sherriff's Department – No Position Given Page 1 of 2 Jenita Moore, Michigan Office of the Secretary of State – Neutral The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 278 and SB 279: Dr. Solomon, The Play Project – Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
