BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3543 FAX: (517) 373-0927 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 23, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Local Government was scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony on SBs 322 and 323 (Sen. Victory). The Chairman called the meeting to order at 1:48 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman Zorn, Sen.(s), Johnson, Daley, Alexander, and Moss; a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Daley to adopt the meeting minutes from May 16, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman invited Sen. Victory to summarize SBs 322 and 323. The Chairman invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SBs 322 and 323: Ed Noyola, County Road Association – Oppose The Chairman read the cards of the following individuals who did not wish to testify before the committee regarding SBs 322 and 323: Dennis Kolar, Road Commission for Oakland County – Oppose Al Vanderberg, Ottowa County – Support Robert Kosowski, Michigan Association of Counties – Support Tom Frazier, Michigan Townships Association – Support Troy Hagon, Michigan Department of Transportation – Neutral There being no further business before the committee, the Chairman moved to adjourned the committee.
