- COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 4, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Regulatory Reform was scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4510 (Rep. Farrington). The Chairman called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Moss, Polehanki, and Wojno; a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to adopt the meeting minutes from May 21, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman invited Michael Wisniewski, of Rep. Farrington’s office, to summarize HB 4510. The Chairman invited the following individuals to deliver testimony regarding HB 4510: Mark green, Amerilodge – Support. Jim Humpal, Amerilodge – Support. Derek Sova, MI Dept. of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs – Oppose. Alesha Gensler, MI Dept. of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs – Oppose. Craig LaLonde, MI Dept. of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs – Oppose. Sean Walker, Elevator Industry Work Preservation Fund – Oppose. Michael Vandervennet, Elevator Constructors Local 36 – Oppose. The Chairman read the cards of those individuals not wishing to present testimony before the committee regarding HB 4510: Dave Kuras, Elevator Industry Work Preservation Fund – Oppose. Shawn Allen, Fire Marshall, City of Sterling Heights Fire Department – Oppose. Michael O’Brian, Michigan Association of Fire Chiefs – Oppose. There being no further business before the committee, the Chairman moved to adjourn the committee.
