BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7670 FAX: (517) 373-5958 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 12, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Advice and Consent was scheduled for Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. A hearing to consider the appointment of Isaiah M. Oliver to the Central Michigan University Board of Trustees. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman Lucido, Sen.(s) LaSata, Nesbitt and Hertel, a quorum was present. The Chairman invited Mr. Isaiah M. Oliver to provide the committee with his opening statement. At 3:07 p.m. Sen. McBroom entered the meeting. The Chairman invited committee members to ask questions of Mr. Oliver regarding his appointment to the Central Michigan University Board of Trustees. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to adopt the meeting minutes from the May 23, 2019 meeting. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. There being no further business before the committee, the Chairman moved to adjourn the meeting. Without objection, the committee was adjourned at 3:33 p.m. Date Adopted by Committee: 07/23/2019
