BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7840 FAX: (517) 373-3932 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES October 15, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Oversight was scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 201 (Sen. Nesbitt). 2. Testimony regarding SB 404 (Sen. McBroom). 3. Testimony regarding HB 4336 (Rep. S. Johnson). 4. Testimony regarding HB 4574 (Rep. LaGrand). 5. Testimony regarding HB 4468 (Rep. S. Johnson). The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:06 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McBroom, Sen.(s) Lucido, Theis and Irwin, a quorum was present. The Chair invited the committee to recite the Pledge of Alliance. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to adopt the meeting minutes from October 8, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Sen. Nesbitt and Rep. S. Johnson to summarize SB 201, SB 404, HB 4336 and HB 4574. Member questions followed. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 201, SB 404, HB 4336 and HB 4574:  Doug Ringler and Laura Hirst, Office of the Auditor General – support. Member questions followed. The Chair invited Jon Mieczkowski, of Rep. S. Johnson's office, and their constituent, Tom Lambert to summarize HB 4468. Member questions followed. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Lucido, to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. MacDonald was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to adjourn the meeting.
