BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3447 FAX: (517) 373-5849 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES October 23, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at 12:30 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 516 (Sen. Barrett). 2. Testimony regarding SB 522 (Sen. Zorn). 3. Testimony regarding SB 521 (Sen. Victory). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:32 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Barrett, Sen.(s) LaSata, McBroom, Victory, Outman, Lauwers, Geiss, Bullock, and Hollier, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to adopt the meeting minutes from October 16, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair summarized SB 516. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 516: John LaMacchia, Michigan Municipal League – Oppose The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 516: Troy Hagon, Michigan Department of Transportation – No Position Ed Noyola, County Road Association – Support The Chair invited Sen. Zorn to summarize SB 522. Page 1 of 2 The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 522: Judy Allen, Michigan Townships Association – Support Troy Hagon, Michigan Department of Transportation – No Position John LaMacchia, Michigan Municipal League – Support Ed Noyola, County Road Association – Oppose The Chair invited Sen. Victory to summarize SB 521.
