The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 586 (S-2) (Sen. Moss) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported SB 587 (Sen. Moss) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. Reported SB 588 (Sen. Moss) with recommendation and immediate effect. 4. Reported HB 4959 (Rep. Hauck) with recommendation and immediate effect. 5. Reported HB 4960 (Rep. Warren) with recommendation and immediate effect. 6. Reported HB 4961 (Rep. Griffin) with recommendation and immediate effect. 7. Reported SB 369 (Sen. Lucido) with recommendation and immediate effect. The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m. He instructed the clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Moss, Polehanki and Wojno, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion to adopt the meeting minutes from October 22, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. Sen. Moss offered an (S-2) substitute to SB 586. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Polehanki to adopt the (S-2) version of SB 586. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Moss, Polehanki, Wojno. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-2) was adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 586, SB 587 and SB 588: Sen. Jeremy Moss – Support Sam Awdish, Michigan Spirits Association – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 586, SB 587 and SB 588: Page 1 of 3 Scott Ellis and Mason Doerr, Michigan Licensed Beverage Association – Support Julie Wendt, Liquor Control Commission – Support Brett Visner, Michigan Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Moss to report the (S-2) version of SB 586 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Moss, Polehanki, Wojno. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for SB 586. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen.
