BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7946 FAX: (517) 373-2678 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES November 6, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Appropriations was scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., in the Harry T. Gast Senate Appropriations Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Adopted Legislative Transfer Request 2019-6. 2. Adopted Legislative Transfer Request 2019-8. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present; Chairman Stamas, Sen.(s) Bumstead, MacGregor, Barrett, Bizon, LaSata, MacDonald, Nesbitt, Outman, Runestad, Schmidt, Victory, Hertel, Irwin, Santana, McCann and Bayer, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Bumstead, supported by the Chairman, to excuse absent members from the committee meeting. Without objection, the Sen. Hollier was excused. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. MacGregor, supported by Sen. Hertel, to adopt the committee meeting minutes from September 28, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman invited Chris Harkins, Director of the Senate Fiscal Agency to summarize Legislative Transfer Request 2019-6 and 2019-8. The Chairman invited Farah Hanley, Senior Deputy Director of Financial Operations for the Department of Health and Human Services, to help answer questions regarding the legislative transfers requests. The Chairman entertained a motion from Sen. Schmidt, supported by Sen. Irwin, to adopt Legislative Transfer Request 2019-6. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chairman Stamas, Sen.(s) Bumstead, MacGregor, Barrett, Bizon, LaSata, MacDonald, Nesbitt, Outman, Runestad, Schmidt, Victory, Hertel, Irwin, Santana, McCann and Bayer Nays: None The Legislative Transfer Request 2019-6 was adopted. The Chairman made a motion, supported by Sen. Victory, to adopt Legislative Transfer Request 2019-8. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chairman Stamas, Sen.(s) Bumstead, MacGregor, Barrett, Bizon, LaSata, MacDonald, Nesbitt, Outman, Runestad, Schmidt, Victory, Hertel, Irwin, Santana, McCann and Bayer Nays: None The Legislative Transfer Request 2019-8 was adopted.
