BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0793 FAX: (517) 373-5607 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES December 3, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Regulatory Reform was scheduled for Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4689 (Rep. VanSingel). 2. Testimony regarding HB 4912 (Rep. Hauck). 3. Testimony regarding HB 4335 (Rep. Yaroch). 4. Testimony regarding HB 4308 (Rep. Iden). 5. Testimony regarding HB 4916 (Rep. Iden). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. He instructed the clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Nesbitt, Sens. Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Moss, Polehanki and Wojno, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the meeting minutes from October 29, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Zorn was excused from the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4689: Rob Winkelman, Rep. Scott VanSingel – Support Jason Matznick and Jack Taylor, Nightlock – Support Breann Couterier, The Lockout Co – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 4689: Paul Stankewitz, Michigan Catholic Conference – Support Brian Broderick, Michigan Association of Non Public Schools – Support Blaine Koops, Michigan Sheriffs Association – Support Jennifer Smith, Michigan Association of School Boards – Support Page 1 of 2 The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4912: Alex Porrett, Rep. Roger Hauck – Support Mary Hill, Central Michigan University – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4912: Kerry Krone and Julie Wendt, Michigan Liquor Control Commission – Neutral Megan Morris, Central Michigan University – Support Connor Spalding, MRLA – Neutral Bret Marr, Western Michigan University – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4335: Scott Weaver and Sam Boumis, Douglas J.
