The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 435 (Sen. Horn) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported SB 132 (Sen. Zorn) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:34 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Barrett, Sen.(s) LaSata, McBroom, Victory, Outman, Lauwers, Geiss, and Bullock, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Hollier was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. LaSata to adopt the meeting minutes from November 6, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Sen. Zorn to summarize SB 132. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 132: Jim Driskill, Citizen – Support Page 1 of 5 The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 132: Sergeant Nicole McGhee, Michigan State Police – Support John Kopacz, Michigan State Police Retiree – Support The Chair invited Sen. Daley, on behalf of Sen. Horn, to summarize SB 435.
