BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-1760 FAX: (517) 373-3487 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES January 23, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Economic and Small Business Development was scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2020, at 12:00 noon, in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 667 (Sen. Hollier). The Chairman called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, MacGregor, Theis, Lauwers, Schmidt, McMorrow, Geiss and Moss, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the meeting minutes from November 7, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 667: Senator Hollier, Michigan Senate – Support Kyle Burleson and Shannon Price, Detroit Wayne County Port Authority – Support Brad Williams, Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce – Support Ken Cole, GCSI – Support The Chairman read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 667: Steve Claywell, Michigan Building Trades – Support Ryan Covert, Detroit Wayne County Port Authority – Support Harry Warner, Waterfront Petroleum – Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chairman moved to adjourn the committee.
