BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-1636 FAX: (517) 373-1453 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES January 29, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Elections was scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 756 (Sen. Johnson). 2. Testimony regarding SB 757 (Sen. Johnson). The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:04 p.m. She instructed the clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Johnson, Sen.(s) McBroom, Lucido, VanderWall, and Wojno, a quorum was present. The Chair moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 30, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair summarized SB's 756 – 757 for the committee. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB's 756-757: Justin Roebuck, Ottawa County Clerk, MI Association of County Clerks – Support Tina Barton, City of Rochester Hills – Support Susan Nash, Clerk, City of Livonia – Support Janet Roncelli, Bloomfield Township, Michigan – Support Aileen Dickson, City of Troy – Support Mary Clark, Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks – Support Jackie Beaudry, Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 757: Kim Markee, Waterford Township – Support Page 1 of 2 The card was read of those individuals not wishing to present testimony regarding SB 756: Kim Meltzer, Clerk, Charter Township of Clinton - Oppose The card was read of those individuals not wishing to present testimony regarding SB 757: Kim Meltzer, Clerk, Charter Township of Clinton - Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
