BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3447 FAX: (517) 373-5849 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 4, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 12:30 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 646 (Sen. Geiss). 2. Testimony regarding SB 426 (Sen. Lucido). 3. Testimony regarding SB 6 (Sen. Lucido). 4. Testimony regarding SB 574 (Sen. Lucido). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:31 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Barrett, Sen.(s) McBroom, Victory, Outman, Lauwers, Geiss, Bullock, and Hollier, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. LaSata was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Victory to adopt the meeting minutes from February 19, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Sen. Geiss to summarize SB 646. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 646: Mark Polsdofer, Michigan Department of Transportation – Support The Chair invited Justin Carpenter, of Sen. Lucido's office to summarize SB 426. Page 1 of 2 The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 426: Jeff Kirkpatrick, Michigan Court Officers and the Deputy Sheriffs Association – Support Adam Reames, Michigan Department of State – No Position The Chair invited Justin Carpenter, of Sen. Lucido's office, to summarize SB 6.
