BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-1760 FAX: (517) 373-3487 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 19, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Economic and Small Business Development was scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 12:30 p.m., in the Senate Hearing Room, Ground Floor, Boji Tower. Presentation on Michigan's Economic Recovery and Reopening Strategies The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, MacGregor, Lauwers, Schmidt, LaSata, McMorrow, Geiss and Moss, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the meeting minutes from March 5, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Michigan's Economic Recovery and Reopening Strategies: John McNamara, Andrew French and John Shostak, Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association – No Position Amy Drumm, Michigan Retailers Association – No Position Bill Golden, Golden Shoes – No Position Charlie Owens and Nevin Groce, NFIB – No Position Robert McMann, Tri-County Alliance for Public Education There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
