BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-1777 FAX: (517) 373-5871 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 27, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Agriculture was scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at 8:30 a.m., in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. Presentation by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) on the Pesticide Applicator Certification Program. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Daley, Sen.(s) Victory, Lauwers and Brinks, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Lauwers to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Polehanki was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Victory to adopt the meeting minutes from March 12, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the Pesticide Applicator Certification Program: Nathan Kark, Legislative Liaison, MDARD Brian Verhougstaete, Pesticide Section Manager, MDARD There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
