The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported HB 5164 (Rep. Jim Lilly) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported HB 5315 (S-1) (Rep. Sara Cambensy) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. Testimony regarding HB 5341 (Rep. Wendzel), HB 5342 (Rep. Wendzel), HB 5343 (Rep. Wendzel), HB 5344 (Rep. Wendzel), HB 5345 (Rep. The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:31 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Moss, Polehanki and Wojno, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to adopt the meeting minutes from March 10, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 5164: Winston Feeheley, DTE Energy – Support Cathy Wilson, Consumers Energy – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Lauwers to report HB 5164 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Moss, Polehanki, and Wojno. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. Page 1 of 3 The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for HB 5164. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 5315: Scott Ellis, Michigan Licensed Beverage Association – Support Kerry Krone, Michigan Liquor Control Commission – Neutral The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the (S-1) version of HB 5315. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Moss, Polehanki, and Wojno.
