The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported HB 5412 (Rep. Vaupel) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported HB 5413 (Rep. Wozniak) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. Reported HB 5414 (Rep. Green) with recommendation and immediate effect. 4. Reported HB 5415 (Rep. Liberati) with recommendation and immediate effect. 5. Reported HB 5416 (Rep. Whiteford) with recommendation and immediate effect. 6. Testimony regarding SB 826 (Sen. VanderWall). The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:33 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair VanderWall, Sen.(s) Bizon, Johnson, LaSata, MacDonald, Theis, Brinks, Hertel, Santana. and Wojno, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bizon to adopt the meeting minutes from May 27, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 5412 – HB 5416: Elizabeth Kutter, Wayne State University – Support Algeria Wilson, National Association of Social Workers, Michigan – Support Matt Black, Michigan Academy of Family Physicians – Support Gabe Schneider, Munson Healthcare – Support Paul Tarr, Team Wellness at the Eastern Market – Support Page 1 of 3 The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 5412 and HB 5413: American Association of Clinical Urologists – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to report HB 5412 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair VanderWall, Sen.(s) Bizon, Johnson, LaSata, MacDonald, Theis, Brinks, Hertel, Santana, and Wojno Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for HB 5412. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to report HB 5413 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The Chair invited Corwin Rhyan, Senior Analyst for Altarum, to give a presentation regarding Michigan's behavioral health needs.
