Gast Appropriations Room. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4459 (Rep. Hauck), HB 4460 (Rep. Liberati), HB 4990 (Rep. Hauck) and HB 4991 (Rep. Liberati). 2. Testimony regarding HB 4459 (Rep. Hauck). 3. Testimony regarding HB 4459 (Rep. Hauck) and HB 4460 (Rep. Liberati). The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Theis, Sen.(s) LaSata, Nesbitt, Daley, Barrett, Horn, Geiss, Bullock and McMorrow, a quorum was present. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4459, HB 4460, HB 4990 and HB 4991: Rep. Roger Hauck – Support Bret Jackson, Economic Alliance for Michigan – Support Gabe Basso, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan – Support Dr. Bobby Mukkamala, Michigan State Medical Society – Opposition Christine Shearer and Jeff Romback, Michigan Association of Health Plans – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4459: Dr. Jim Richard, Michigan Society of Pathologists – Opposition The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 4459: Belinda Chandler, Michigan College of Emergency Physicians – Opposition Page 1 of 2 The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4459 and HB 4460: Stephanie Johnson, Physicians for Fair Coverage – Opposition The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 4459, HB 4460, HB 4990 and HB 4991: Mary Haffenbredl, AHIP – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Horn to adopt the meeting minutes from July 23, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Lauwers was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
