A summary of the agenda is as follows: 1. A presentation by Sen. McBroom and Sen. Moss on the FOIA and LORA Package. 2. Testimony regarding HB 4007 (Rep. Rendon). 3. Testimony regarding HB 4008 (Rep. Guerra). 4. Testimony regarding HB 4009 (Rep. Lasinski). 5. Testimony regarding HB 4010 (Rep. Glenn). 6. Testimony regarding HB 4011 (Rep. Berman). 7. Testimony regarding HB 4012 (Rep. Hauck). 8. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McBroom, Sen.(s) Lucido, Theis, MacDonald and Irwin, a quorum was present. The Chair invited the committee to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The Chair announced the presentation from the Michigan Corrections Organization regarding the Michigan Department of Corrections response to the COVID-19 pandemic was removed from the days agenda. The Vice Chair conducted the committee so the Chair could present to the meeting. The Chair and Sen. Moss gave a presentation regarding SB's 833 – 842 and HB's 4007 – 4016. Member questions and discussion followed. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to present testimony regarding SB's 833 – 842 and HB's 4007 – 4016: Adam Reams, Michigan Department of State – Support Joe Fedewa, Michigan League of Conservation Voters – Support HB's 4007 - 4016 The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Lucido to adopt the meeting minutes from September 1, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted.
