Gast Appropriations Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 1104 (Sen. McBroom). 2. Reported SB 426 (S-1) (Sen. Lucido) with recommendation. 3. Reported HB 4866 (Rep. Johnson) with recommendation. 4. Reported SB 299 (Sen. Hollier) with recommendation. 5. Testimony regarding SB 6 (Sen. Lucido). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:04 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Barrett, Sen.(s) LaSata, McBroom, Victory, Outman, Lauwers, Geiss, Bullock, and Hollier, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. LaSata to adopt the meeting minutes from September 22, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Rep. S. Johnson to summarize HB 4866. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 4866: Tom Tibortz, MVPA and MVCCMI – Support Adam Reames, Michigan Department of State – Support Jeremy Schad, Citizen – Support William Thatcher, Citizen – Support Ken Aubrey, Citizen – Support Paul Aubrey, Citizen – Support Robert Strain, Citizen – Support Remi Seabolt, Citizen – Support Charles Chapman, Citizen – Support Timothy Juhl, Citizen – Support Rick Hyma, Citizen – Support Terry Shelswell, Citizen – Support Kevin Romanelli, Citizen – Support Page 1 of 3 Theodore Gates, Citizen – Support Shawn Menzie, Citizen – Support The Chair invited Sen. McBroom to summarize SB 1104. The Chair offered an (S-1) version to SB 426. The Chair invited Sen. Lucido to summarize SB 426 and the (S-1) version of SB 426. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. LaSata to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 426. Lauwers to report the (S-1) version of SB 426 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. LaSata to report HB 4866 to the floor with recommendation that it pass.
