BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-1760 FAX: (517) 373-3487 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES October 1, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Economic and Small Business Development was scheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2020, at 12:00 noon, in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 1153 (Sen. MacGregor), SB 1149 (Sen. MacGregor), SB 1150 (Sen. Nesbitt), SB 1178 (Sen. Schmidt), SB 1179 (Sen. MacGregor) and SB 1180 (Sen. Hertel). 2. Testimony regarding SB 846 (Sen. Moss), SB 847 (Sen. Johnson) and SB 848 (Sen. Moss). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, MacGregor, Lauwers, Schmidt, LaSata, McMorrow, Geiss and Moss, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the meeting minutes from September 24, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. MacGregor to adopt the (S-1) version of HB 5672. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, MacGregor, Lauwers, Schmidt, LaSata, McMorrow, Geiss, and Moss. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair invited Senator MacGregor to summarize SB 1153, SB 1149, SB 1150, SB 1178, SB 1179 and SB 1180.
