Gast Appropriations Room, 3rd Floor, Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 5844 (Rep. Bellino). 2. Testimony regarding HB 5846 (Rep. Kahle). 3. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Lucido, Sen (s). VanderWall, Barrett, Runestad, Chang and Irwin, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the meeting minutes from October 1, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair brought up HB 5844, HB's 5846-5857, HB 6235 and HCR 29, and invited Rep. Kahle to summarize the bills. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony via Zoom regarding HB 5844, HB's 5846- 5857, HB 6235 and HCR 29: Kimberly Buddin, ACLU Michigan – Support Diana Prichard, Americans for Prosperity – Support Tom Boyd, State Court Administrator – Support Beatrice Friedlander, Attorneys for Animals – Oppose HB 5856 The cards were read of those individuals not wishing to present testimony before the committee regarding HB 5844, HB's 5846-5847, HB 5849-5857, HB 6235 and HCR 29: David Guenther, Mackinac Center for Public Policy – Support Alex Rossman, Michigan League for Public Policy – Support Kathy Hagenian, Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence – Support Meghann Keit, Michigan Association of Counties – Support John Cooper, Safe and Just Michigan – Support Judge Harvey J.
