BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2420 FAX: (517) 373-2764 **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES November 12, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Insurance and Banking was scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 464 (Sen. Lucido), SB 465 (Sen. Lucido) and SB 862 (Sen. Lucido). The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Theis, Sen.(s) Lauwers, LaSata, Nesbitt, Daley, Barrett, Horn, Geiss, Bullock and McMorrow, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Lauwers to adopt the meeting minutes from November 4, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 464, SB 465 and SB 862: Justin Carpenter, The office of Sen. Peter Lucido – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 464, SB 465 and SB 862: Haleigh Krombeen, Michigan Credit Union League – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 464: Mark McWilliams, Disability Rights Michigan – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Lauwers to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 464. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Theis, Sen.(s) Lauwers, LaSata, Nesbitt, Daley, Barrett, Horn, Geiss, Bullock, and McMorrow. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
