- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON INSURANCE REP. MIKE HARRIS CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Insurance was called to order by Chair Harris. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Harris, Tisdel, Lightner, Posthumus, Aragona, Neyer, Schuette, Brenda Carter, Tate and Fitzgerald. Absent: Rep. Whitsett. Excused: Rep. Whitsett. Representative Lightner moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 19, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid a presentation from the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services before the committee. Joe Sullivan, representing the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services, gave a presentation. Questions and discussions followed. Representative Brenda Carter moved to excuse Rep. Whitsett from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Harris adjourned the meeting at 12:44 PM.
