BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7840 FAX: (517) 373-3932 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 02, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Oversight was scheduled for Tuesday, February 02, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in Room 403 of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony by Barb Byrum, Ingham County Clerk, regarding Post-Election Audits. 2. Testimony by Chris Swope, City of Lansing, City Clerk, regarding Post-Election Audits. 3. Testimony by Lisa Lyons, Kent County Clerk, regarding Post-Election Audits. 4. Testimony by Joel Hondorp, City of Grand Rapids, City Clerk, regarding Post-Election Audits. The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:02 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McBroom, Sen.(s) Theis, and Irwin, a quorum was present. Chair McBroom invited the committee to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Chair McBroom summarized the days agenda and gave opening comments. Chair McBroom welcomed Barb Byrum, Ingham County Clerk; Lisa Lyons, Kent County Clerk; Joel Hondorp, City of Grand Rapids City Clerk and Chris Swope, City of Lansing City Clerk to the Committee. Chair McBroom administered the Oath to Clerks Byrum, Lyons, Hondorp and Swope. Chair McBroom invited Clerk Byrum to present testimony regarding the Ingham County post-election procedures and audits. Chair McBroom invited Clerk Swope to present testimony regarding the City of Lansing post-election procedures and audits. Chair McBroom invited Clerk Lyons to present testimony regarding the Kent County post-election procedures and audits. Chair McBroom invited Clerk Hondorp to present testimony regarding the City of Grand Rapids post-election procedures and audits. At 3:03 p.m., Sen. Bizon entered the meeting. Member questions and discussion followed with all the testifiers. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Irwin to adopt the meeting minutes from January 28, 2021. Without objection, the meeting minutes were adopted. There being no further business before the committee, Chair McBroom entertained a motion by Sen.
