BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0793 FAX: (517) 373-5607 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 4, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Advice and Consent was scheduled for Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 12:00 noon, in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda of the meeting is as follows: 1. A hearing to consider the appointment of Katherine Peretick to the Michigan Public Service Commission The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:02 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Bumstead and Hertel, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. McBroom was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion from Sen. Bumstead to adopt the 2021-2022 committee rules. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Bumstead and Hertel. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the rules were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the appointment of Katherine Peretick to the Michigan Public Service Commission: Katherine Peretick – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding the appointment of Katherine Peretick to the Michigan Public Service Commission: John Dulmes, Michigan Chemistry Council – Support Ed Rivet, Michigan Conservative Energy Forum – Support Mary Templeton, Michigan Saves – Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
