BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0793 FAX: (517) 373-5607 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 18, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Advice and Consent was scheduled for Thursday, February 18, 2021, at 12:00 noon, in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda of the meeting is as follows: 1. A hearing to consider the appointments of Mr. Kurtis Trevan and Mr. Alexander Turfe to the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:03 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Bumstead, McBroom and Hertel, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bumstead to adopt the meeting minutes from February 11, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the appointment of Mr. Kurtis Trevan to the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees: Kurtis Trevan – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the appointment of Mr. Alexander Turfe to the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees: Alexander Trevan – Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
