- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON NATURAL RESOURCES AND TOURISM REP. DAVID MARTIN CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, January 21, 2026 Noon. Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Natural Resources and Tourism was called to order by Chair Martin. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Martin, St. Germaine, VanderWall, Outman, Hoadley, Johnsen, Prestin, Bohnak, Fairbairn, Wortz, McFall, Weiss, Foreman, Myers-Phillips and Wooden. Absent: Reps. Scott and Arbit. Excused: Reps. Scott and Arbit. Representative VanderWall moved to adopt the meeting minutes from December 17, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5093 before the committee: HB 5093 (Rep. VanderWall) A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," by amending sections 43520, 43523b, 43532, 43532a, 43533, 43536, 43537, and 48703 (MCL 324.43520, 324.43523b, 324.43532, 324.43532a, 324.43533, 324.43536, 324.43537, and 324.48703), section 43520 as amended by 2024 PA 96, section 43523b as added and section 43537 as amended by 2013 PA 108, section 43532 as amended by 2020 PA 271, section 43532a as amended by 2020 PA 270, sections 43533 and 43536 as amended by 2016 PA 463, and section 48703 as amended by 2018 PA 529.
