BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0793 FAX: (517) 373-5607 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 9, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Regulatory Reform was scheduled for Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 125 and SB 126 (Sen. Daley). 2. Testimony regarding SB 141 (Sen. Schmidt), SB 142 (Sen. Brinks), SB 143 (Sen. Moss) and SB 144 (Sen. VanderWall). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Moss, Polehanki and Wojno, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to adopt the meeting minutes from February 16, 2021 and February 23, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 125 and SB 126: Sen. Kevin Daley – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 125: Mike Pergande, American Legion Post 18 – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 126: Jim Smith, American Legion Post 457 – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 126: Katharine Hude, Michigan Charitable Gaming Association – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 141, SB 142, SB 143 and SB 144: Sen. Curt VanderWall – Support Sen.
