ARAGONA CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, January 22, 2026 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Regulatory Reform was called to order by Chair Aragona. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Aragona, Fairbairn, Wozniak, Wendzel, Tisdel, Hoadley, Neyer, Rigas, Thompson, Linting, Liberati, Tyrone Carter, Witwer and Neeley. Absent: Reps. Whitsett, Dievendorf and Grant. Excused: Reps. Whitsett, Dievendorf and Grant. Representative Wozniak moved to adopt the meeting minutes from December 18, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4908 and HB 4909 before the committee: HB 4908 (Rep. Rigas) A bill to amend 1980 PA 299, entitled "Occupational code," by amending section 1203a (MCL 339.1203a), as amended by 2018 PA 387. HB 4909 (Rep. Rigas) A bill to amend 1980 PA 299, entitled "Occupational code," by amending section 1205a (MCL 339.1205a), as added by 2020 PA 20. Representative Rigas testified in support of HB 4908 and HB 4909. Questions and discussions followed. The following person submitted a card in support of HB 4908 and HB 4909, but did not wish to speak: Jarrett Skorup, representing the Mackinac Center.
