Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was called to order by Chair Outman. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Outman, Alexander, Carra, Bruck, Neyer, Bohnak, Frisbie, Wortz, Hope, Koleszar, Grant and Miller. Absent: Reps. Kunse, Prestin, Herzberg, Andrews and Wilson. Excused: Reps. Kunse, Prestin, Herzberg, Andrews and Wilson. Representative Alexander moved to adopt the meeting minutes from December 16, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5433, HB 5434, HB 5435 and HB 5479 before the committee: HB 5433 (Rep. Outman) A bill to amend 1937 PA 94, entitled "Use tax act," by amending sections 2 and 4a (MCL 205.92 and 205.94a), section 2 as amended by 2023 PA 94 and section 4a as amended by 2004 PA 172. HB 5434 (Rep. Outman) A bill to amend 1980 PA 119, entitled "Motor carrier fuel tax act," by amending the title and sections 1, 2, 2a, 5, 8, 9, and 10 (MCL 207.211, 207.212, 207.212a, 207.215, 207.218, 207.219, and 207.220), section 1 as amended by 2024 PA 219 and sections 2, 2a, 5, 8, 9, and 10 as amended by 2015 PA 178. Representative Bruck gave a presentation on the proposed legislation entitled Securing Homeland & Infrastructure with Emerging Laws for Drones (S.H.I.E.L.D.). Questions and discussion followed.
