BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3760 FAX: (517) 373-8661 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 20, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Environmental Quality was scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 319 (S-1) (Sen. Outman) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported SB 320 (Sen. Wojno) with recommendation and immediate effect. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:02 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Outman, Sen.(s) Daley, Johnson, VanderWall, McBroom, Bayer, and Brinks, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the meeting minutes from March 9, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair summarized SB 319. The Chair invited Sen. Wojno to summarize SB 320. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 319. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Outman, Sen.(s) Daley, VanderWall, McBroom, Bayer, and Brinks Nays: None Pass: Sen. Johnson The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to report the (S-1) version of SB 319 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Outman, Sen.(s) Daley, VanderWall, McBroom, Bayer, and Brinks Nays: None Pass: Sen. Johnson The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for SB 319 (S-1). Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to report SB 320 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Outman, Sen.(s) Daley, VanderWall, McBroom, Bayer, and Brinks Nays: None Pass: Sen. Johnson The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for SB 320. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
