BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7840 FAX: (517) 373-3932 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 20, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Oversight was scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in Room 403 of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SJR G (Sen. Barrett) with recommendation. 2. Testimony regarding Office of the Auditor General, Performance Audit Report, Child Care Fund, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, December 2020, #431-1400-19. 3. Office of the Auditor General, Performance Audit Report, Medicaid Home Help Program, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, December 2020, #391-0708-19. The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:11 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McBroom, Sen.(s) Theis, Bizon and Irwin, a quorum was present. Chair McBroom invited the committee to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Chair McBroom entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to adopt the meeting minutes from March 23, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair brought up the Office of the Auditor General, Performance Audit Report, Child Care Fund, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, December 2020, #431-1400-19. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony via Zoom regarding the Office of the Auditor General, Performance Audit Report, Child Care Fund, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, December 2020, #431-1400-19: Yvonne Benn, OAG Audit Division Administrator. Member questions followed. Leah Decker, OAG Audit Division Manager. Member questions followed. Deb Hallenbeck, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Member questions followed. The Chair brought up SJR G and invited Sen. Barrett to summarize the resolution. Member questions followed. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to report SJR G to the floor with recommendation that the resolution be adopted. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair McBroom, Sen.(s) Theis, Bizon and Irwin Nays: None The motion prevailed and the resolution was reported. The Chair brought up the Office of the Auditor General, Performance Audit Report, Medicaid Home Help Program, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, December 2020, #391-0708-19.
