BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-1760 FAX: (517) 373-3487 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 13, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Economic and Small Business Development was scheduled for Thursday, May 13, 2021, at 12:00 noon, in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Presentation from the Housing Michigan Executive Committee. 2. Presentation from Michigan Small Business Development Center. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:03 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Lauwers, Schmidt, LaSata, MacDonald, McMorrow, Geiss and Moss, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the meeting minutes from March 18, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals from the Housing Michigan Executive Committee for a presentation: Dawn Crandall, Home Builders Association of Michigan Joshua Lunger, Grand Rapids Chamber Kent Wood, Borealis Strategic Jennifer Rigterink, Michigan Municipal League Yarrow Brown, Housing North The Chair invited the following individuals to present from the Small Business Development Center on the Center's pandemic response: J.D. Collins, Executive Director, Michigan SBDC Joshua Billington, Managing Director, Michigan SBDC Pandemic Response Page 1 of 2 There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
