- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS REP. ANN BOLLIN CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, February 4, 2026 9:00 AM Room 352, State Capitol Building The House Committee on Appropriations was called to order by Chair Bollin. The House Standing Committee on Appropriations was meeting jointly with the House Standing Committee on Oversight. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Bollin, Phil Green, Jenkins-Arno, Kelly, Markkanen, Mueller, Slagh, VanWoerkom, Beson, Borton, Roth, Cavitt, DeSana, Kuhn, Steele, Robinson, O'Neal, Rogers, Steckloff, Glanville, Edwards, Farhat, Martus, McKinney, Morgan, Price, Snyder and Longjohn. Absent: Rep. Maddock. Excused: Rep. Maddock. Representative VanWoerkom moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 28, 2026. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. Representative Roth moved to excuse Representative Maddock from the meeting. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid an Overview of the Michigan Public Health Institute before the committee. Dr. Renee Canady and Dr. Phil Levy, representing the Michigan Public Health Institute, provided testimony on the Michigan Public Health Institute. Questions and discussions followed.
