Gast Appropriations Room. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 459 (Sen. Moss) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported SB 129 (Sen. Schmidt) with recommendation. 3. Reported SB 437 (S-1) (Sen. Schmidt) with recommendation and immediate effect. 4. Testimony on Senate Bills 360-361 (Sen. Victory); Senate Bill 362 (S-1) (Sen. Brinks); Senate Bill 364 (Sen. Moss); Senate Bill 422 (Sen. Horn); Senate Bill 432 (Sen. Schmidt). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:01p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Lauwers, Schmidt, LaSata, MacDonald, McMorrow, Geiss and Moss, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McDonald to adopt the meeting minutes from May 13, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair read in the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 459: Monique Field-Foster, Brush Park Development – Support Aaron Keel, MI Department of Treasury – Neutral Alex Mansour, Partner at Brushpark Development - Support Jared Belka, Partner at Warner Norcross Judd - Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Schmidt to report SB 459 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Lauwers, Schmidt, LaSata, MacDonald, McMorrow, Geiss, and Moss. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. Page 1 of 4 The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for SB 459. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chair invited Senator Schmidt and Goeff Hanson of Main Street Legislative Consultants to present testimony on SB 129. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to report SB 129 to the floor with recommendation that it pass.
