BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2426 FAX: (517) 373-2964 **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 16, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Families, Seniors, and Veterans was scheduled for Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 530 (Sen. Zorn). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Bizon, Sen.(s) Johnson, Zorn and Alexander, a quorum was present. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 530: Jessica Brutzman, Traverse City Coast Guard Liaison Committee – Support Holly Lindsay, Military Spouse – Support Tim Farrell, Military Child Education Coalition – Support Jim Rickel, Department of Defense – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Alexander to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen.(s) Barrett, Runestad and Bullock were excused from the meeting.
