BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-1760 FAX: (517) 373-3487 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 17, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Economic and Small Business Development was scheduled for Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 12:00 noon, in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported HB 4063 (Rep. John Reilly) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:02 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Lauwers, Schmidt, LaSata, MacDonald, McMorrow, Geiss and Moss, a quorum was present. The Chair invited Representative Reilly to summarize HB 4063. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 4063: Dan Jarvis, Michigan Family Forum – Support Andrew Beardslee, Department of Labor and Economic Growth – Neutral The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to report HB 4063 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Lauwers, Schmidt, LaSata, MacDonald, McMorrow, Geiss, and Moss. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
