BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3447 FAX: (517) 373-5849 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES September 1, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 12:00 noon, in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 465 (Sen. Runestad). 2. Testimony regarding SB 466 (Sen. MacDonald). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:01 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Barrett, Sen.(s) LaSata, McBroom, Victory, Outman, Lauwers, Geiss, Bullock, and Hollier, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. LaSata to adopt the meeting minutes from July 15, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Sen.(s) Runestad and MacDonald to summarize SB 465 and SB 466. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 465 and SB 466: Ed Noyola, Michigan County Road Association – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 465 and SB 466: Lance Binoniemi, Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association – Oppose Troy Hagon, Michigan Department of Transportation – Oppose Jonathan Byrd, Michigan Laborers Union – Neutral There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
