BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7840 FAX: (517) 373-3932 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES December 7, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Oversight was scheduled for Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding The Office of the Auditor General Performance Audit Report, Selected Activities Within the Bureau of Construction Codes, Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, October 2021, #641-0240-20. The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:01 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McBroom, Sen.(s) Theis, Bizon, Wozniak, Irwin and Chang, a quorum was present. The Chair invited the committee to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Chair McBroom entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to adopt the meeting minutes from December 2, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair brought up The Office of the Auditor General Performance Audit Report, Selected Activities Within the Bureau of Construction Codes, Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, October 2021, #641-0240- 20. The Chair invited the following individuals from The Office of the Auditor General to summarize the Report: Mary Jo Koschay, Audit Division Administrator Kaitlyn Snyder, Audit Manager Member questions and discussion followed. The Chair invited the following individuals from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Construction Codes to discuss the Report: Courtney Pendleton, Deputy Director, LARA Bureau of Construction Codes Keith Lambert, Director, LARA Bureau of Construction Codes Marnie Triemstra, LARA, Office of Policy and Legislative Affairs Member questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair McBroom entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to adjourn the committee at 3:17 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
