The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 720 (S-2) (Sen. Runestad) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported SB 721 (Sen. Runestad) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. Reported SB 722 (Sen. Runestad) with recommendation and immediate effect. 4. Testimony regarding HB 5080 (Rep. Outman). 5. Testimony regarding HB 5081 (Rep. Coleman). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:33 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Runestad, Sen.(s) Nesbitt, Daley, Bumstead, VanderWall, Chang and Alexander, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Nesbitt to adopt the meeting minutes from December 8, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair brought up SB's 720 - 722 , and offered an (S-2) substitute for SB 720. The cards were read of those individuals not wishing to present testimony regarding SB's 720 - 722: Barb Farrah, Michigan Distributors and Vendors Association – Neutral on SB 720 Mike Hawks, Michigan Distributors and Vendors Association – Neutral on SB 720 Erika Farley, ITG Brands – Neutral Leah Robinson, Michigan Chamber of Commerce – Neutral Alex Morris, Michigan Bankers Association - Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Nesbitt to adopt the (S-2) version of SB 720. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Runestad, Sen.(s) Nesbitt, Daley, Bumstead, Chang and Alexander Nays: Sen. VanderWall The motion prevailed and the (S-2) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Nesbitt to report SB 720 (S-2) to the floor with recommendation that it pass.
