BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3543 FAX: (517) 373-0927 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES January 20, 2022 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Local Government was scheduled for Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 1:30 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4833 (Rep. Ellison) 2. Testimony regarding HB 4834 (Rep. Tisdel). The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Zorn, Sen.(s) Johnson, Daley and Moss, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Moss to adopt the meeting minutes from October 7, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair brought up HB's 4833 and 4834, and invited Reps. Ellison and Tisdel to summarize the bills The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4833 and HB 4834: Joe Crosby, American Rental Association – Support Heavy Equipment Tax Coalition, Heavy Equipment Tax Coalition – Support Jimmy E. Without objection, Sen. Alexander was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
