The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 742 (S-2) (Sen. Moss) with recommendation. 2. Reported HB 5062 (Rep. Bolden) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. Reported HB 5090 (Rep. Clements) with recommendation and immediate effect. 4. Reported HB 5260 (S-1) (Rep. Witwer) with recommendation and immediate effect. 5. Testimony regarding SB 632 (Sen. Irwin). 6. Testimony regarding HB 5294 (Rep. Lightner). 7. Testimony regarding HB 5449 (Rep. Clements). 8. Testimony regarding HB 4693 (Rep. Johnson). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Huizenga, Moss, Polehanki and Wojno, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to adopt the meeting minutes from January 18, 2022. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Moss to adopt the (S-2) version of SB 742. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Huizenga, Moss, Polehanki, and Wojno. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-2) was adopted. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 742: Bill Zaagman, Michigan Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association – Support Page 1 of 3 The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to report the (S-2) version of SB 742 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Huizenga, Moss, Polehanki, and Wojno. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to report HB 5062 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Huizenga, Moss, Polehanki, and Wojno. Nays: None Pass: Sen.(s) Johnson. The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for HB 5062. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 5090: Scott Ellis and Mason Doerr, Michigan Licensed Beverage Association – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Huizenga to report HB 5090 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Huizenga, Moss, Polehanki, and Wojno. Nays: None Pass: Sen.(s) Johnson. The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for HB 5090. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Moss to adopt the (S-1) version of HB 5260. Moss to report the (S-1) version of HB 5260 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Johnson, Lauwers, VanderWall, Zorn, Huizenga, Moss, Polehanki, and Wojno. Nays: Sen.(s) Theis. The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for HB 5260. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended.
