BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-1725 FAX: (517) 373-0741 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 10, 2022 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Health Policy and Human Services was scheduled for Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Presentations Regarding Congenital Heart Disease. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:01 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair VanderWall, Sen.(s) Bizon, Johnson, LaSata, MacDonald, Theis, Brinks, Hertel, and Wojno, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. MacDonald to adopt the meeting minutes from February 8, 2022. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Ben Bodkin, parent advocate, to give a presentation regarding Congenital Heart Defects. The Chair invited Dr. Caren Goldberg, Professor of Pediatrics for the University of Michigan Health System and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, to give a presentation regarding Congenital Heart Disease and Congenital Heart Defects. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Santana was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
