BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7946 FAX: (517) 373-2678 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 16, 2022 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Appropriations was scheduled for Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., in the Senate Appropriations Room in the State Capitol building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Summary of the Governor's 2023 budget proposal by Senate Fiscal Director, Kathryn Summers. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present; Chairman Stamas, Sen.(s) Bumstead, Schmidt, Barrett, Bizon, Daley, Huizinga, LaSata, MacDonald, Outman, Runestad, Victory, Hertel, Hollier, Irwin, Santana, McCann, and Bayer, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Victory, supported by Sen. Schmidt, to adopt the committee meeting minutes from December 1, 2021 and February 9, 2022. Without Objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman welcomed Senate Fiscal Director, Kathryn Summers to provide an overview of Governor Whitmer's 2023 budget proposal to the senate and house committees. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Daley, supported by Sen. Victory, to adjourn the committee.
