The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 107 (S-1) (Sen. MacDonald) with recommendation. 2. Reported HB 4326 (S-1) (Rep. VanWoerkom) with recommendation. 3. Testimony regarding SB 726 (Sen. Zorn). 4. Reported SB 940 (Sen. Bayer) with recommendation and immediate effect. 5. Reported SB 941 (Sen. Bayer) with recommendation and immediate effect. 6. Reported HB 5701 (Rep. VanSingel) with recommendation. 7. Reported HB 4953 (S-2) (Rep. Martin) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Theis, Sen.(s) Horn, Runestad, Daley, Huizenga, Polehanki and Geiss, a quorum was present. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 107: Linda Davis, Families Against Narcotics – Support Matt Scheuller, Michigan Association of Superintendents and Administrators – Support Sean Sorenson-Abbott, Michigan Health and Hospital Association – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Horn to report the (S-1) version of SB 107 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Theis, Sen.(s) Horn, Daley, Huizenga, Polehanki, and Geiss. Nays: Sen.(s) Runestad. The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Horn to adopt the (S-1) version of HB 4326. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for SB 940. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended.
