BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-1777 FAX: (517) 373-5871 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 14, 2022 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Agriculture was scheduled for Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 8:30 a.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Presentation from Jason Troendle, Director of Market Intelligence & Research at The Fertilizer Institute 2. Presentation from Roger Betz, Farm Business Management Educator at MSU Extension The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Daley, Sen.(s) Lauwers, Polehanki and Brinks, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Lauwers to adopt the meeting minutes from February 10, 2022. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Jason Troendle, Director of Market Intelligence and Research at the Fertilizer Institute, for a presentation on the Agriculture Economy. The Chair invited Roger Betz, MSU Extension Farm Business Management Educator, for a presentation on the Agriculture Economy. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Lauwers to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Victory was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
